Multifaceted Vocalist and Songwriter – Jameelah Mullen is unable to be categorized. Coming from Geechee –Gullah and Bermudian roots, she explores her heritage through her music with a mixture of soul, blues, reggae , funk and jazz. Growing up in a musical family, Jameelah developed a love for singing at an early age; she has been deeply influenced by legends such as Stevie Wonder, Prince, Sarah Vaughn, Bob Marley, and Nina Simone. Jameelah has graced stages from Los Angeles California to Paris France. Also an actress, Jameelah has starred in numerous commercials and theater productions including The Wiz, and Hallelujah Mahaliah. These days you may find Jameelah singing with musical acts such as Common Ground Collective and Sunshine Blue. Jameelah is currently working on her solo album.
Flutist and writer Rasheeda Ali borrows the wind and adds her own unique signature like a true child of the Hiphop Generation with a mix of Eastern sounds, jazz, funk, and classical music on her palette. After no formal music training and 3 years of performing and touring among some of the best on the mic, a solo musician has emerged in Atlanta. Ali’s forthcoming project entitled The Black Diamond Suite Vol 1. explores melodic lines, fusing culture in her art…an invitation to remember your royalty as she flutters. Offstage, Ms. Ali is grounded by her non-profit and grassroots efforts. “To whom much is given, much is expected…. so I choose to serve the people worldwide” she says.
As a booking agent & Promoter for Apache Café, Cloud IX Lounge & Other performance venues throughout Metro Atlanta, Ms. Dia has created a number of Premiere Events showcasing the Talents of numerous Atlanta Independent Artists & Internationally recognized performers. You can find her Hosting “It’s SHOWtime” at the Apache Café every 3rd Thursday of the Month and “Sunday Nights Live” every Sunday at Cloud IX Lounge.
Born in New Jerusalem(NJ), but a resident of Atlanta, Georgia, Methuzulah previously known as Mojo Swagger is an emcee, photographer, producer, and promoter. Methuzulah came into his art-form naturally. As a youth he was forced to survive in a troubled environment. He managed to cope by writing about the truths of his life and putting his emotions to paper. He found solace in the expression and at this point was driven to leave New Jersey for Atlanta, GA that summer of 1994. This phenomenal music maker and cultural archivist is definitely Hip Hop and sharing his art with the masses.
At the age of 21, Warren started his journey doing street promotions with Loud, Relativity, and Priority Records, as well as working on marketing projects for Lightyear Entertainment/WEA. He worked on many major tours such as the No Way Out, Hard Knock Life, Cash Money/Ruff Ryder, and the No Limit Tour. Now an Atlanta native, he continues his journey as a singer/songwriter with over 50 songs written in his catalog. Warren has finally made a conscious decision to go full force in his reggae music career, with a maxi single from the upcoming album I Shall Be Released. Let us see where else Warrens journey in music will take him!
Born Yetunde Orungbemi (Oroongbemi) in Nigeria and the third child of diplomats, Yetunde began traveling the world at an early age… From Amsterdam to Indonesia,Israel to Egypt, Saudi Arabia to Georgia she soaked up the many wonderful cultures of the world…At the tender age of 25, Yetunde emergered with a new project rightfully called “Senses: The Cleansing Storm.” A compilation fueled by her need to express, once again, her influences. Produced, arranged, recorded, performed, written and mixed by Yetunde, Senses: The Cleansing Storm truly shows just how raw of a talent she possess. poised to be one the greatest influences of our time, Yetunde is sure to build a bridge between the East and the West
